Monthly Recap: Horton Stills on Top!

Until late April 2008... Only one movie in America can reached over 100 million dollars. The animation movie 'Horton Hears a Who!' reached 145 million dollars in its first 40 days showing. Horton also reached almost 119 million dollars from overseas (outside America). And Horton's worldwide grosses is 264 million dollars. Big names in comedy like Jim Carrey and Steve Carrell are giving the big contributions for this success.

10,000 B.C., a prehistoric epic movie reached 162 M just from overseas. And make it the most successful movie outside America. Its worldwide grosses is 255 M dollars. There are no big names in this movie, and that makes the big earning more phenomenal.

Jumper, a sci-fi movie starring by Hayden Christensen and Samuel L. Jackson reached 139 million dollars from overseas with total 218 million dollars worldwide grosses.

We are still waiting some big movies like Iron Man, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, James Bond: Quantum of Solace, The Chronicle of Narnia: Prince Caspian, The Dark Knight, Sex and the City and so on. Who will be the most successful movie in 2008?
